Water is my holy place, where I found there’s less space between heaven and earth.
Although I am not religious I found my way of understanding spirituality with water. To better explain this, I will pick the words of Eric Weiner* to explain it better: water is one of those “places where beguile and inspire, sedate and stir, places where, for a few blissful moments I loosen my death grip on life, and can breathe again. It turns out these destinations have a name: thin places”.
Analyzing water as a soothing element, I have been traveling intensely. I have been to places where water is at its best. Places which feel dreamy, in fact, dreamy- blue. Which brings again the concept of heaven and earth, so interesting.
One of my explorations with water and photography has been by capturing the exact place where I find heaven and earth converge together.
I hope by looking at this series of pictures you can understand my fascination for water, my so-called thin place.
